Blind Youth Forum presents April 25th, 2021 election monitoring report to the CEC.

The monitoring report on Visually Impaired Voters’ turnout in April 25, 2021 parliamentary elections was presented in the CEC. This report was  prepared by the National Forum of Blind Young People, with the assistance and support of OSCE Presence in Albania.

The report reflected the finding and recommendations of Blind Young People, who monitored the elections process of April 25, 2021 and conducted a questionnaire with the young voters with visual impairment.

The presentation was followed by discussions by participants, the CEC administration,  young members of the Forum, on the challenges faced by the voters with visual impairment.

The participants shared their ideas on the improvements and steps to be taken to increase access of the blind voters in the election process, especially young and first time voters.

The Central Elections Commission invited the youth of the National Forum of Blind Young People to cooperate with the CEC in identifying the problems and drafting concrete measures to improve the situations in the next elections.
