A round table of consultations was held today “Recommendations on the secondary legislation framework on funding of political parties”, organized by the Central Election Commission in cooperation with the National American Democratic Institute (NDI) and the support of British Embassy.
Members of leading bodies of the CEC, representatives of civil society were introduced to the recommendations presented by NDI and discussed on the ways to improve the secondary legislative framework in the area of political parties’ funding.
The participants highlighted the practices created in 2021 and 2023 elections on monitoring and controlling of political parties’ funding and shared their views on potential interventions the CEC can make in its regulatory acts in order to strengthen the integrity of election process and increase financial transparency.
