Today, the Regulatory Commission approved an amendment to decision no. 10, dated 23.10.2024, of the Regulatory Commission “On the approval of the rules for the registration of voters from outside the territory of the Republic of Albania and the preparation of the voter list”.
The approved amendment provides that during the process of administering applications for registration of voters from abroad, the CEC shall make available to the DPJC, every Monday, the list of citizens whose application for registration has been approved. This list will be automatically generated by the Electronic Registration Platform (ERP) and will be made available to the DPJC in electronic format. The DPGJC shall take measures to compile and publish the extract of the list of voters from abroad whose registration request has been approved, within 24 hours, according to the components of the list of voters from abroad specified in this decision.
The need for the addition to decision no. 10/2025 arose due to the volume of requests for registration of voters from abroad and to facilitate the work of the DPGJC, in order to begin the preparatory work to identify these voters, who at the end of the registration process will be part of the list of voters from abroad and will be removed from the list of voters within the country for the Assembly elections of May 11, 2025.
