 The Regulatory Commission reviewed the draft decision ” On the rules of reporting of activities of a public character by public institutions, agencies and/or state state entities, categories of prohibited activities and on monitoring the activities, behavior, and the use of human financial and logistic resources ahead of elections”.

The State Election Commissioner, Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi, in his introduction of the draft decision, highlighted the importance of its adoption, in order to take measures, to monitor and prevent the activity, the behavior or use of human financial and logistic resources of central and local institutions and state administration, 4 months before the elections until the election date and during the election campaign.

The Commissioner stated that the provisions of this draft decision, aim to encourage impartiality and fair treatment of the candidates and political parties, to ensure equal and fair terms for all candidates and political parties participating in the elections process and preventing the use of public funds and resources for political purposes.

After its review in principle and article by article , the Regulatory Commission unanimously decided to adopt the draft decision.

In addition, the Regulatory Commission reviewed and adopted the draft decision “On the adoption of rules and modalities to calculate the monetary value of donations in kind or services, borrowings and loans benefited by political parties and candidates during the election campaign”.
