The State Election Commissioner hosted today the Ambassador of Sweden in Tirana, H.E. Niklas Strōm, where they discussed the progress of the registration of voters from abroad and the preparations of the CEC for the upcoming electoral process.
The Commissioner expressed the institution’s gratitude for the cooperation and support to the CEC from the Swedish Government and appreciated Ambassador Strōm’s interest in assisting and supporting the efforts for the voting from abroad of Albanian citizens.
Celibashi shared with the Ambassador and his team the CEC’s views on issues such as avoiding the use of state resources in the campaign, reporting possible electoral violations and improving the quality of the work of field election commissioners, thanks also to the specific project to which the Swedish Government also contributes.
