In today’s public session, the State Election Commissioner examined the in-depth verification of the General Prosecutor for the self-declaring subject Mr. Agron Faslli Kapllanaj, candidate for deputy of the party from the Coalition “Democratic Party – Alliance for Change PD-AN”, Fier district” and for the self-declaring subject Mr. Kleo Hekuran Murat, candidate for deputy of the Social Democratic Party of Albania, Tirana district”. The commissioner made the finding that Mr. Agron Kapllanaj and Mr. Kleo Murataj are not included in the conditions of the prohibition to exercise the public function of the deputy.

Today, the vacancies in the municipal council of Përmet Municipality and Dibër Municipality were filled and was registered the legislative initiative of the voters “On determining the vital minimum” of the Committee of Representatives composed of 8 voters, Ms. Angela Nasto, Mr. Arlind Qori, Mr. Jani Marka, Mrs. Mirela Ruko, Mrs. Geraldina Mancka, Mr. Redi Muçi, Mrs. Vitori Cipi, and Mr. Xhuliano Bregasi.

Also, the Commissioner determined the political parties that will propose the members and secretaries of the CEAZs, for the elections for the local government bodies.

In the elections of May 14, 2023, will propose the members of the Commissions of the Electoral Administration Zones:

1. Two members in each CEAZ are proposed by the Partia Socialiste e Shqipërisë;
2. One member in each ZEAZ is proposed by the Partia Social Demokrate
3. Two members in each CEAZ will be proposed by the Partia Demokratike e Shqipërisë;
4. One member in each CEAZ will be proposed by the Partia e Lirisë;

The seventh member of the CEAZs will be proposed depending on the results of the lot in the CEC, between the Socialist Party and the Democratic Party.

The secretary of the CEAZ will be proposed by the Socialist Party in the CEAZs, where the SP has the deputy chairman of the CEAZs, and the Democratic Party in the CEAZs, where the PD has deputies in the CEAZs.

The State Election Commissioner approved the format and specifications of the KZAZ VC’s seal, the VC’s Chairman, and the reserve seal for the KVC.C The decision-making on the rules for the annual financial reporting of political parties, the adoption of the approved format for the financial reporting of political parties during the calendar year, the control, and verification of their standard finances and expenses, as well as the payment of legal auditors, was postponed to the next session.
