The Regulatory Commission approved some amendments to Decision no. 08, dated 23.02.2023 of the Regulatory Commission ,”  On the procedure of drawing of the lots for determining the order of electoral subjects and candidates in the ballot paper for local government elections” 

The approved amendments define the mechanism of drawing of the lots for the ranking of  electoral subjects in the ballot paper for municipal councils. The lot and preliminary lot will be held in four stages.

1.       The first stage of includes the lot for electoral subjects that have registered multi member lists in all electoral zones. 

2.         The second stage includes the lot for electoral subjects which have registered multi member lists from 31 to 60 election zones.

3.         The third stage includes the lot for electoral subjects that have registered multi member lists in up to 30 election zones.

4.      The fourth stage includes the lot for candidates proposed by the voters for the municipal council, if two or more candidates will be registered for an election zone. The lot will be cast among them. In the final ranking, the candidates proposed by the voters for the municipal council are listed after the ranking of political parties and coalitions.

The approved changes provide that the numbers in the lot are in progressive order and equal to the number of subjects that participate in each stage. The numbers marked in the paper including in the preceding stage/stages are not included in the next stage.
