Today, the Regulatory Commission reviewed the draft decision “On the approval of the technical characteristics of the ballot paper for the Assembly elections of May 11, 2025”.

The Regulatory Commission decided to approve the technical characteristics of the ballot paper that will be used for voters within the territory of the Republic of Albania.

The ballot papers will be made of paper, with a color, thickness or configuration elements such that they do not allow the vote to be read on the back of it, and will contain security elements, as defined by a normative act of the CEC. The ballot paper contains a technical element in the form of codes that identify the electoral zone, the voting center, as well as other identification elements that are not readable with the naked eye.

In addition to the paper security elements, the ballot will also contain some technical elements in the form of codes that identify the electoral zone, the voting center, as well as other identification elements that are not readable with the naked eye (QR code).

The regulator decided that the technical characteristics of the ballot for voters from abroad will be approved in another act in the coming days.
