The Central Elections Commission of Albania held an informative session in Devoll with the participation of around 120 high school seniors, most of whom will be first-time voters in the Parliamentary Elections on May 11th 2025.
Key highlights from the meeting:
- The right to vote and its significance — Participants were encouraged to see their vote as a powerful tool for shaping their future and influencing decision-making.
- Active youth engagement — Beyond voting, students were introduced to opportunities to actively contribute to the electoral process, including serving as operators of electronic identification devices on election day.
Hands-on voting simulation — Students participated in a practical exercise simulating the voting process, allowing them to experience first-hand how to:
- Verify their names on the voter list
- Present the required documents at the polling station
- Properly mark the ballot paper to ensure their vote is valid
The CEC remains fully committed to raising awareness and fostering youth participation in elections, ensuring that every vote counts and every voice is heard!
