The Central Elections Commission, the American National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the Council of Europe trained the appointed monitors of the election campaign.
The monitors will observe the compliance of the legal requirements of the electoral subjects and the activity of public institutions in order to prevent the misuse of public resources.
Well-known experts, local and international ones, shared their expertise in order to improve the awareness of monitors about the recently adopted legal framework, to train the monitors on the monitoring methodology and reporting templates, and to enable best monitoring practices from other countries in the Region.
This event was held in the framework of the projects “Promotion of Political Funding Reports in Albania”, implemented by NDI with the support of British Embassy in Tirana and “Action Against Economic Crime in Albania (AEC-AL)”, in the context of Horizontal II Instrument, implemented by the Council of Europe and co-financed by EU and the Council of Europe.
