Guidelines approved on the way of financial reporting during election campaign

The Regulatory Commission approved the guidelines on the way of financial reporting during the election campaign for local government elections. The Decision aimed to provide a summary of the legal reference and the provisions that regulate the funding of election campaign for political parties/ electoral subjects, the candidates for Mayor, the candidates of multi member lists and candidates proposed by the voters for local government elections. 

In addition, it gives instructions on the way the templates of election campaign reports are completed by the political parties, candidates for Mayor, candidates of multi member lists and candidates proposed by the voters. Through specific examples, it reflects the correct way of filling the standard forms of reporting of financial campaign by the political parties, candidates for Mayors, candidates for multi member lists, candidates proposed by the voters and deadlines for their submission. 

In addition,  an amendment to Instruction no.1, dated 05.12.2020 of the Regulatory Commission was approved,” On defining the rules for establishment, designation and notification of the location of voting centers and and preparation of the map of local government unit for elections” as amended; 

During the public session, it was also approved the work manual of Voting Center Commissions for local government elections of May 14,2023. This guideline is a material that will assist the Voting Center Commissioners and trainers of election administration when delivering the training. This material contains information regarding composition of VCC, the criteria for appointment, discharge or dismissal of VCC members, the VCC meetings, decisions of VCC under regular proceedings and in the cases when vacancies arise in VCC. It explains the steps taken by VCC one day before of elections and the duties during election day.
