The Regulatory Commission reviewed the draft decision “ On boundary delimitation and establishment of zones of election administration for 2025 parliamentary elections”.

The Commission approved the boundaries and approved the establishment of 93 (ninety three) Zones of Election Administration for parliamentary elections to be held on May 11, 2025.

The municipalities with more than 80 thousand citizens who are eligible to vote, are divided by the CEC into more than one EAZ, in line with the principle of integrity and indivisibility of the territory of the administrative zone, continuity and compactness of the territory, geographical barriers, the optimal opportunities for communication within the territory and an approximate number of voters.     

In addition, the draft decision “On approval of thr number of seats for each election zone, for 2025 parliamentary elections”was reviewed. 

The Regulatory Commission approved the number of seats for 12 Regions of the country, as follows:

1.       Berat Region, 7 mandates 

2.       Dibër Region 5 mandates

3.       Durrës Region, 14 mandates

4.        Elbasan Region 14 mandates

5.        Fier Region 16 mandates

6.       Gjirokastër Region 4 mandate

7.       Korçë Region 10 mandates

8.       Kukës Region 3 mandates

9.       Lezhë Region 7 mandates

10.   Shkodër Region 11 mandates

11.   Tiranë Region 37 mandates

12.   Vlorë Region 12 mandates

Regulatory Commission decided to postpone the review of the draft Decision “On the rules of counting and evaluation of out of the country votes, the respective documentation and the modality of completing it,  and tabulation of result of out of the counry voting”.
