The Central Election Commission has begun training 40 trainers of the electoral administration, who will be engaged in the elections for the Assembly of May 11, 2025.

The training will take place over 8 days and trainers from all regions of the country will participate. Their training aims at certifying the trainers, who will then train the electoral administration of the second and third levels, vote counting groups and election campaign monitors.

The training program, based on the BRIDGE methodology, consists of increasing the capacities of the trainers and deepening their knowledge on the legal framework and the changes made, the competencies and obligations of the electoral administration.

Through theoretical and practical sessions (exercises), all issues related to the tasks of the Zonal Electoral Administration Commissions, Voting Center Commissions and Vote Counting Groups were addressed. They were also trained on the functioning of the Electronic Identification Device (EID) and the Electronic Voting and Counting System (EVTS) and the duties of the operators who will be engaged on election day as EID and EVT operators.

The training was supported by the OSCE Presence in Albania project: “Support to the Reform and Processing of Elections in Albania”, which is funded by Sweden, Switzerland, the US Mission to the OSCE and Poland.
