The State Election Commissioner, Mr.Ilirjan Celibashi received in a meeting the delegation of the State Election Commission of North Macedonia, led by the Head of the Commission, Mr. Aleksander Dashtevski, accompanied by Mr. Krenar Lloga, Mr. Oliver Ristovski and Mr. Boban Stojanoski.

The purpose of the meeting was to exchange experience between the two counterpart Institutions and materializing this cooperation in the future.

Considering the fact that the Republic of North Macedonia is facing the challenge of electronic identification of voters, the interest of the State Election Commission delegation centered around the implementation of this project in Albania by the CEC.

 Commissioner Celibashi introduced the delegation to the regulatory by laws on the use of technology in elections, the procedures and steps taken by the CEC to implement Voters’ Electronic Identification System, highlighting also the demonstration of the electronic identification device.

The State Election Commission of North Macedonia expressed its interest to observe April 25 2021, parliamentary elections.
