The State Election Commissioner, Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi met with the British Ambassador to Albania, Mr. Alastair King-Smith (Alastair King-Smith). The scope of the meeting was to brief him on the preparations for the mayoral by elections to be held on 6 March, 2022, the progress of the voters’ education campaign until its finalization and the support of British Embassy in Tirana in this elections process.

Another topic of the meeting was also the expectations regarding Ad Hoc Commission on the Election Reform and the proactive role of the CEC in the sustainable improvement of the election legislation. 

Commissioner Celibashi thanked Ambassador King-Smith for the generous and constant support of the British Embassy extended to the CEC.
