Authorization to change the location of voting centers in Shosh, Pult and Shale is refused

Today, the State Election Commissioner reviewed the request of the municipality of Shkodra for authorization to change the location of some voting centers for the by-elections on March 6, 2022.

The Commissioner decided to refuse to grant authorization to change the location of voting centers no. 0115, 0116, 0117, 0118, 0119, 0119/1, 0132, 0133, 0091, 0092, 0093 and 0094, requested by the municipality of Shkodra. The Commissioner decided to ask the State Road Authority and the Electricity Distribution Operator to take measures to ensure access to roads and electricity in the areas of voting centers in the administrative units of Shosh, Pult and Shale.

Representatives of the Delegation of the European Union, the Swedish Embassy and the British Embassy were also accredited today to observe the by-elections for mayor.

At the request of the electoral subject, the Democratic Party, it was postponed the review of the draft decision “On the administrative review for violations provided in Article 91 of Law no. 10019, dated 29.12.2008, “Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania”, as amended and in decision no. 9, dated 24.12.2020, of the Regulatory Commission, in the Central Election Commission, to the municipality of Rrogozhina ”.
