The State Election Commissioner, in today’s public session reviewed the draft decision “On the approval of the standardized form for signatures to be taken for the legislative initiative of voters in the Republic of Albania, on the proposal of the draft law” On some changes and additions to law no. 10019, dated 29.12.2008 “The Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania”, amended “.

Albanian Institute for the Development of the Electoral System, Center for Youth Progress – Kukës, Association “Easy Steps” – Shkodra, Association “Montenegrin Community in Albania” – Elbasan, Center “Tamara” – Tirana, Center for Civil Society Development – Durres , The Forum “Free Thought” and the Association “Voice of Citizens” – Lushnja have requested to the CEC to be provided with a standardized form for signatures to be taken and propose to the Albanian Parliament the draft law on some changes in the Electoral Code.

At the end of the review, the Commissioner decided to approve the standardized form for signatures to be taken and the procedure followed for voters’ signatures which  will be completed within three months from the entry into force of the Commissioner’s decision.
