In today’s public session, the Regulatory Commission reviewed the draft decision on “Approving the rules for counting the areas of voting centers and voting centers”.
With 5 votes in favor, the Regulatory Commission decided that the areas of voting centers in the territory of the Republic of Albania should be counted continuously and unrepeatably through the Unique Numbering System (SUN).
Within voting center zone there may be one or more voting centers.
The voting center is numbered with a six-digit number, in ascending order in the north-south direction. The first four numbers correspond to the area of the voting center and the two numbers that follow in ascending order from “01” to “99” indicate the voting centers established within the same area. The separator character “/” is placed between the first four numbers and the last two numbers. In voting center zones where there is only one voting center, the number of the voting center corresponds to the number of the voting center area and after the separator character “/” “00” is placed.
The numbering starts with the number “0001/00” from Shkodër District and ends in Vlorë District.
In the case of the merger of two or more voting centers, the number of the merged voting center is suspended and this suspension does not affect the existing numbering of other voting centers.
With the entry into force of this decision, the existing counting of voting centers is preserved. In the case of voting centers whose current count is four digits, the separator character “/” and the numbers “00” are added. If the current numbering of the voting center is five digits, then the separator character “/” is added before the last number and “0” is added after it. In case the actual numbering of the voting center is six digits, then the separator character “/” is placed after the first four digits.
