Today, a working meeting was held at the Central Election Commission with the Coordinating Council of the Diaspora to discuss the progress of preparations for out-of-country voting for Albanian citizens living outside the territory of the Republic of Albania, for the elections on May 11, 2025.
The State Election Commissioner, Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi, expressed his gratitude for the commitment, close cooperation, and contributions made by Diaspora representatives for out-of-country voting.
The CEC presented the preparations and measures taken for the proper organization and administration of the diaspora voting process for the parliamentary elections, including:
- Approved regulatory acts;
- The voter education strategy for out-of-country voters;
- The development of the Electronic Registration Platform, along with the security measures and guarantees it will provide;
- The electoral deadlines for out-of-country voters.
During the discussion, an agreement was reached for coordination between the CEC and the Coordinating Council of the Diaspora to conduct an intensive information and education campaign regarding the registration of out-of-country voters for the parliamentary elections.
The meeting was held as part of Diaspora Week and the activities organized by the Coordinating Council of the Diaspora, the National Diaspora Agency, and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
