During the public session held today, the State Election Commissioner reviewed the request of Democratic Party of Albania for registration as electoral subject in local government elections of May 14,2023.

At the end of the review, the Commissioner, with the Decision no.172, dated 14.03.2023 decided to reject the request for registration of Democratic Party of Albania, with chairman Mr. Lulzim Basha, as electoral subject for May 14, 2023 local government elections. 

In addition, the Commissioner reviewed the request of political party “Movement for National Development”, to be registered in local government elections of May, 14, 2023 local government elections. At the end of the review, the Commissioner decided to sustain the request and register ” Movement for National Development” as electoral subject.

During the session, the Commissioner also reviewed the request for registration of the Initiation Committee which will organize the work for presentation of Mr. Arlind Muhamet Qori as a candidate proposed by the voters for Mayor of Tirana Municipality in Tirana Municipality election zone. At the end of the review, the Commissioner decided to sustain the request and register the Initiation Committee which will organize the work for presentation of the candidate proposed by the voters, Mr. Arlind Muhamet Qori.
