The State Election Commissioner, during a public session, approved the multi member lists of the electoral subject “Justice, Integration and Unity” Party for the municipalities of Durrës, Elbasan, Fierit, Berat, Lushnjë, Korçë, Lezhë, Shkodër, Kamëz and Vlorë.
The multi member lists of candidates for municipal councils of Vlora Municipality, filed by “Legality Movement” party and the multi member lists of candidates for municipal councils filed by “Left Front” party, were returned in order to be corrected.
The Commissioner decided to reject the registration of Mr. Eduart Muhamet Nallbani as a candidate proposed by the voters in Tirana Municipality election zone, as according to the Electoral Code, he does not meet the criteria of supporting signatures, equivalent to 1 per cent of the voters list in Tirana election zone.
During the session, it was also approved the quantity of additional stamps of the Voting Center Commission, to be produced for local government elections of May 14, 2023.
In addition, the representatives of Albanian Institution for Development of Election Systems, Ora News Radio and Television, and Civic Resistance Organization, were accredited to observe local government elections process.
Today, the administrative inquiry was concluded regarding the reporting of activities by local /central government institutions and state agencies and/or entities for March 10 – March 16, period. The Commissioner decided to drop the administrative proceedings against the Institutions of the President’s Office and the General Directorate of State Police, while for other institutions the decision will be announced in the next session.
The reporting of activities of a public character, by central/local public institutions were assessed for March 17- March 23 period. Out of the 15 institutions found to have breached the legal deadline of reporting, 9 of them have presented their claims. At the end of assessment, a Decision will be ruled by the Commissioner.
Upon the request of electoral subjects, the decision was adjourned for two draft Decisions on location of Ballot Counting Centers and location of some voting centers in private facilities.
