CSC passes for consideration appeal requests no. 49, no. 50, no. 51

The following three complaints were filed to the Central Elections Commission:  

  1.  Complaint no. 49, filed by the complainant Democratic Party of Albania with object “Revocation of decision no. 366, dated 15.04.2023 of the State Election Commissioner “Review of the request of Democratic Party and verification of the data in the self-declaration form of the self-declaring subject Mr. Qerim Ismail Ismailaj, candidate for mayor of Mallakastër proposed by the electoral subject “Socialist Party of Albania” for local government elections of May 14, 2023″.
  2. Complaint no.50, filed by the complainant Democratic Party of Albania with object “Revocation of decision no. 361, dated 15.04.2023 of the State Election Commissioner on “Approval of the content of the ballot for candidates for the Tirana Municipality Council, for local government elections of May 14, 2023” and “Revocation of decision no. 362, dated 15.04.2023 of the State Election Commissioner on “Approval of the content of the ballot for candidates for members of municipal councils in 60 municipalities, for local government elections of May 14, 2023”. “Change of the content of the ballot by including all the requirements defined in article 98 point 3 of the Electoral Code”. according to the proposal attached.
  3. Complaint no. 51, filed by the complainant “Together We Win” coalition, with object “Appeal to the decision no. 360, dated 15.04.2023 of the State Election Commissioner  “On approval of the content of the ballot for  candidates for mayor, Tirana municipality, for local government elections; Appeal to the decision no. 363, dated 15.04.2023,of the State Election Commissioner “On approval of the content of the ballots for mayor in 60 municipalities, for local government elections of 14 May 2023” and “Revocation of these decisions,  deciding to: Change the content of the ballot for candidates for Mayor in the 61 municipalities in the country, for May 14, 2023 local government elections”, removing the logo of parties and/or coalitions from the content of the ballot for candidates for mayor”.

CSC drew the lots to determine the rapporteurs of the complaint. Based on the result of the lot, Mr. Elvis Çefa was selected as rapporteur of the complaint no.49, Mr. Koli Bele as rapporteur of the complaint no. 50 Mr. Ledio Braho, as rapporteur of the complaint no. 51. 

Today, CSC reviewed the criteria of the form and content of the complaints and CSC decided to pass the complaint no.49 for review in a public session, on 19.04.2023, at 13.00. hrs. The complaint no. 50 will be reviewed in a public session on 19.04.2023 on 16.30, whereas the complaint no.51 will be reviewed in a public session on 19.04.2023, on 17.30.
