The State Election Commissioner Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi met with representatives of civil society and international organizations operating in the field of elections, OSCE/ ODIHR, American Democratic Institute (NDI), IDEA International, Westminster Foundation for Democracy, the Coalition for Reforms, Integration and Consolidated Institutions, the Association for Democratic Culture, Civic Resistance Center, Albanian Helsinki Committee, etc. 

The goal of the meeting was to discuss on the progress  of May 14,2023 election process and the problems encountered.

The Commissioner appreciated the proactive role of the civil society and its approach to different aspects of the election process. He highlighted that this commitment  leads to the constant improvement of the CEC work and leads to a greater social awareness about important issues of the process. 

 The representatives of civil society expressed their appreciation for the close cooperation of the CEC, by holding consultations of draft acts, or for the projects implemented by the CEC and for taking into consideration the feedback given by civil society.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged ideas on the steps to be taken in the future to ensure a  smooth administration of the election administration and the smooth administration of the election process. The CEC took note of all the recommendations made by representatives of organizations involved in the transparency of election process.
