Central Election Commission in collaboration with OSCE Presence in Albania, held a meeting with young, first-time voters where we discussed the local election that will be hold on May 14, 2023 and their participation in voting. The young people were interested in the electoral process, the candidates for mayors, and the candidates for municipal councillors. They also showed interest in the participation of their fellow citizens as candidates for council members.

CEC acknowledged our work on informing and raising awareness among national minorities and people with disabilities. They were also informed in detail with the phases of electoral education.

Together with OSCE, we highlighted that the engagement of young people in democratic processes is an important element of public decision-making, with the aim of making their voices heard.
