The State Election Commissioner in today’s public session reviewed the results of the in-depth verification of the General Prosecutor’s Office for two candidates for members of the Municipal Council in the elections of May 14, 2023 and an acting Mayor, pursuant to law no. 138/2015 “On guaranteeing the integrity of persons who are elected, appointed or exercise public functions”, as well as decision no. 17/2016 of the Assembly.

At the end of the review, the Commissioner found that the self-declaring subject Mr. Syrja Hyzedin Çobo, candidate for member of the Berat Municipal Council, proposed by the electoral subject “Democratic Party” and the self-declared subject Mr. Miftar Tahir Dauti, Mayor of the Has Municipality, proposed by the electoral entity Coalition “Together We WIn”, are not under the conditions of ineligibility.

For the self-declaring subject Mr. Kreshnik Faslli Myrtollari, candidate for member of the Tirana City Council, proposed by the electoral entity “Agrarian Environmentalist Party of Albania”, the Commissioner declared the administrative procedure completed and without a final decision.
