The Central Elections Commission of Albania and the CEC of the Republic of Kosovo have signed a cooperation agreement in Pristina. State Elections Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi and Chairman of the CEC, Kreshnik Radoniqi, signed on behalf of both institutions.
The agreement aims to institutionalize cooperation between the two institutions, focusing on increasing work efficiency and modernizing all aspects of election organization, management, and administration.
With the goal of raising electoral process standards in Albania and Kosovo, the two institutions agreed to support each other with expertise, technical assistance, and logistical support related to external voting, electoral technology, and political party financing. They will also exchange best practices in voter education strategies.
The two CECs will continue to support each other for participation in international organizations with electoral expertise, as well as in activities organized by them.
