Today, the Regulatory Commission approved the technical specifications of the ballot paper for voters residing outside the territory of the Republic of Albania for the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025.
The overseas ballot papers will be made of paper and will have the same color, thickness, and configuration elements as those used within the territory of Albania. These features are designed to prevent the visibility of the vote on the reverse side of the ballot.
The ballot will include technical elements in the form of codes that identify the electoral zone, the polling station, and other security features that are not visible to the naked eye. In addition to paper security features, the ballot paper will also contain technical identifiers, such as a QR code, to distinguish the electoral district and other identifying elements.
A distinctive feature of the overseas ballot compared to the domestic ballot is:
- The header of the ballot paper, where general ballot information is placed, will be colorless (white) with a height of 30 mm, and the ballot will be labeled “OVERSEAS BALLOT PAPER.”
- On the back of the ballot paper, there will be two vertical stripes in a blue-tinted color, with the following CMYK code: (C 70%, M 0%, Y 31%, K 0%).
