The Regulatory Commission reviewed and approved the draft decision “On an amendment to Regulatory Commission Decision no.11, dated 28.12.2020 ‘On defining the rules of administration and distribution of the extra seal of the  Voting Center Commission” .

Based on the fact that in the previous elections, the extra seals with a unique number were used in a limited number of cases,  the Regulatory Commission decided to reduce the number of extra seals with a unique number of the VCCs, for each EAZ, in proportion to the respective number of the VCs. 

The approved changes with the Decision no.11 aim to establish a new institutional practice in the organization and administration of the election process as well as use more efficiently the funds allocated by the State Budget.

The reduction of the number of extra seals does infringe on the criteria of declaring the invalidity of elections or the invalidity of the vote, but creates opportunities for the management of the state budget in a less costly and more efficient manner.
