The Regulatory Commission reviewed and unanimously adopted the draft decision “On procedures of functioning and maintenance of the portal, the procedures and deadlines of the administrative investigation of the complaints and decisions taken at the conclusion of the investigation”.
The decision establishes the criteria and the procedures of the functioning and maintenance of the portal, the procedures and deadlines of the administrative investigation of the complaints and the conclusions reached at the end of the investigation.
The decision describes in detail the entire procedure of the administrative investigation that will be conducted by the CEC in case of complaints, from the moment they are filed with the CEC until they are resolved.
Among others, the decision provides the protection of confidentiality and anonymity during the investigation and the protection of personal data.
The act that was approved today introduces a new mechanism in the role and approach of the CEC, as a body that proactively investigates the complaints filed against electoral subjects, political parties and public administration bodies on the use of public resources.
The portal of denouncements will serve as a mechanism for administration of all the complaints not only during the election time, but also outside it.
