The report on the evaluation of the election integrity index for the Albanian Assembly of April 25, 2021 was presented in the premises of the Central Election Commission. This report was produced by the Albanian Institute for the Development of Electoral Systems (INSIZ) with the support of the Swiss Embassy in Tirana .

Present at the event were members of the steering bodies of the CEC, representatives of political parties, civil society, international organizations in our country.

State Election Commissioner, Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi assessed that every report of the civil society involved in the monitoring of the elections of April 25, 2021, helps to identify the problems and challenges of future electoral processes. Celibashi said that civil society is already the main partner of the CEC in the administration of electoral processes.

On behalf of INSIZ, the findings of the report were presented by Mr. Kristaq Kume, who stressed that it is positively assessed the integrity of the elections; election administration, high level of transparency and administration of the process by the CEC.

Institutionalization of effective cooperation between the CEC and civil society, real-time information on the ballot counting process, implementation of electronic voter identification and voting day as a whole, were other indicators that positively affected the integrity of the elections. The participants in the activity shared opinions on the improvement of the upcoming election process, as well as the steps that should be taken to address the recommendations of the final report of the OSCE/ODIHR.
