The State Election Commissioner in today’s public session appointed the political parties that will propose the members of the Electoral Administration Zones Commissions (CEAZ), which will be set up and function for the local by-elections of March 6, 2022, as follows:

1. Three members are nominated by the Socialist Party of Albania;
2. Two members are nominated by the Democratic Party of Albania;
3. One member is nominated by the Socialist Movement for Integration;

The seventh member of the CEAZ-s will be nominated in according to the results of the lot drawn at the CEC, between the Socialist Party of Albania and the Democratic Party of Albania. Whereas, the secretary of the CEAZ will be proposed:

1. By the Socialist Party of Albania to the CEAZs where the Socialist Party has nominated the deputy chairman of the CEAZ;
2. By the Democratic Party to the CEAZs, where the Democratic Party has nominated the deputy chairman of the CEAZ;

Political parties must submit their candidacies for CEAZ members no later than January 25, 2022.

Also today, the lot was drawn for the nomination of parties that will nominate the seventh member of the CEAZ. According to the results of the lot drawn, the Socialist Party of Albania will nominate the seventh member of the CEAZ with odd number and the Democratic Party will nominate the seventh member of the CEAZ with even number.

The State Election Commissioner also approved the template and specifications of the CEAZ stamp, the VCC stamp, the VCC chairman stamp and the VCC spare stamp for the by-elections on 06.03.2022.
