The State Election Commissioner Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi reminds the heads of local governments where local by elections of March 6,2022 will, take place, their obligation to notify in writing the voters included in the voters list, which is now posted by the civil status offices for each voting center.
The written notification to the voters should provide information on the voting center, its location and address and ordinal number of the voter in the voters list of his voting center.
The local elections of March 6, will be held shortly, therefore the heads of local governments should fulfill this obligation as soon as possible so that the voters have sufficient time to learn the necessary election information.
The heads of local governments, in compliance with this obligation that derives from the Electoral Code, should report at least once a week at the CEC. Failure to notify the voters in writing and to report at the CEC will be lead to administrative sanctions, pursuant to the Electoral Code.
In addition, the CEC appeals to the citizens of municipalities of Dibër, Shkodër, Durrës, Vorë, Rrogozhinë and Lushnjë, to check their names in the voters list and the address of the voting center in their administrative units and the CEC official website, www.kqz.gov.al and that of the Ministry of Interior www.mb.gov.al.
