Local Government Elections – The Regulatory Commission adopts guidelines on financial  reporting during campaign

The Regulatory Commission, in today’s meeting, approved 4 Instructions on the way of financial reporting during the election campaign for local government elections.

The Instructions elaborate the main aspects of the legal framework, the requirements governing the financing of the election campaign for political parties / electoral subjects, candidates for mayor, the candidates in multi-member lists, as well as the candidates proposed by the voters, for local government elections.

They also provide guidance on filling the standard finance reporting forms of the campaign and aim t o assist in completing the campaign financial reports. BY giving specific examples, they show the correct way of filling the standard forms of financial reports of the campaign by political parties, candidates for mayor, candidates of multi-name lists, as well as the candidates proposed by the voters.

The guidelines approved by the Regulatory Commission shall be applicable not only to March 6, 2022 local by elections but also in the next local government elections.
