The State Election Commissioner re-evaluated the request of the electoral subject “New Movement” for the registration of the candidate for Mayor of Durres Municipality, Mr. Jonid Robert Nano for local by elections of March 6, 2022.

The re-evaluation was done in compliance with the Decision no.8, dated 15.2.2022, of the CSC and in compliance with the article 47 and 87 of the law no. 44/2015 “The Code of Administrative Procedures of the Republic of Albania”.

At the end of the deadline for submission of required documentation, the electoral subject did not submit to the CEC the certification that  proves that the subject holds a representative mandate, according to provisions of  point 3, Article 68 of the Electoral Code, or the list with the supporting signatures of the voters based on provisions of point 2, article 68 of the Electoral Code. As a result, the State Election Commissioner decided not to register the candidate for Mayor, Mr. Jonid Nano, proposed by LRE for local by elections of March 6,2022. 

In addition, during today’s public session, the Commissioner approved the representatives of media “Shkodra Web Media”, “Albanian Post”, TV Ora News, LSA Agency and TV Vizion Plus, to observe local by elections for Mayor of March 6,2022
