Today, the State Election Commissioner decided to replace the vacancy in the Korça municipal council, with the candidate from the multi-name list of the Socialist Party of Albania, Mrs. Olta Luan Zylyftar. Announced the decision to review the denunciation of the Organization “Qëndresa Qytetare” against the candidate for Mayor in Rrogozhina Mr. Edison Memolla, Minister of State for Reconstruction and Reform Program, Mr. Arben Ahmetaj, Member of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Etjen Xhafaj and the Socialist Party of Albania, for administrative violations within the election campaign, for the by-elections for mayor on March 6, 2022. The SEC decided to complete the administrative review of the denunciation against Mr. Arben Ahmetaj, Minister of State for Reconstruction and Reform Program and to the MP Mr. Etjen Xhafaj, member of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, and imposed an administrative sanction with a fine on Mr. Edison Memolla, the mayor of Rrogozhina, in the amount of 30,000 (thirty thousand) ALL.

Also, in today’s session were reviewed the denunciations made by the organization “Qëndresa Qytetare”, for administrative violations within the election campaign for the by-elections for mayor, dated March 6, 2022:

1. To Mr. Fatmir Juka, Director of the Shkodra Art Gallery, Mr. Xhemal Bushati, candidate for mayor of Shkodra and the Democratic Party;
2. To Mrs. Eriselda Sefa, candidate for mayor of Lushnja, Mr. Haki Çako Director of the National Agency for Civil Protection and the electoral subject “Socialist Party of Albania;
3. To Mrs. Majlinda Angoni, candidate for mayor of Shkodra, Mr. Haki Çako, Director of the National Agency for Civil Protection and the electoral subject “Socialist Party of Albania”;
4. To Mrs. Majlinda Angoni, candidate for mayor of Shkodra, health center “Rrethina”, Dobraç ambulance, Mrs. Edona Tafa and the electoral subject “Socialist Party of Albania”.

The announcement of the Commissioner’s decisions will be made at the coming session.
