Today, the State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi announced the start of the process of registering voters from abroad on the Electronic Registration Platform (PER) at 00:00 today.
After providing detailed information on the first applicants to register as voters from abroad, the countries from which the applications were made and the districts to which the voters who applied belong, the Commissioner brought to attention the steps that Albanian citizens living outside the territory of the Republic of Albania must follow.
The PER platform is easily accessible through the official website www.kqz.gov.al or in the CEC Application on IOS and Android.
Every citizen must first create an account on PER through:
- A phone number or email
- Personal identification number
- And facial scan
After creating the account, the citizen can express his/her willingness to register as a voter from abroad. PER will also provide technical assistance to all citizens who will have difficulty applying.
Information on the progress of the process of applications to register as voters from abroad will be published periodically on the official website of the CEC.
Commissioner Celibashi emphasized that voters living abroad can apply and reapply to register until March 4, 2025.
The SEC responded to the interest of journalists regarding the possibility of reapplying to register, the security of the PER platform, the qualification of operators who will review registration applications and the deadlines for reviewing registration applications.
