The State Election Commissioner Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi had a meeting with Mr.Emiliano Lule and representatives of the Institution for the Blind to discuss on preparations for the process of local government elections of May 14,2023. 

The dialogue focused on the ballot paper in Braille  alphabet and accessibility of the blind persons to the election information. Mr. Lule expressed his willingness to assist the CEC in preparing educational materials for the people who are visually impaired. Both sides agreed on the mutual commitment to find the right mechanisms so that the election information is accessible by this category of voters. 

Commisioner Celibashi recommended that the Institution for the Blind draft a list of the needs to support the visually impaired people in their access to the election process.
