In the context of the joint project with the British Embassy in Albania,” With Roma, for Roma” on the information/awareness/education of Roma community in elections, a meeting was held in Zinjxhirija neighborhood in Gjirokaster. 

The meeting was held in the form of a  conversation and started with the participants sharing experiences in the previous elections. 

The value of vote, the importance of participation in the voting and refusal of negative practices that violate  elections such as vote buying, were the focus of the discussions with voters of this community.

CEC representatives held several interactive educational sessions regarding the steps that should be taken to ensure that their name is in the Voters’list. The participants were introduced to the specimens of ballot papers, which will be used in local government elections and the voting procedure. 

The representatives of organizations of Roma Minority ” Voice of Roma in Albania” and ” The Institute of Roma Culture in Albania” are partners in the implementation of the project.
