The Regulatory Commission decided that in the elections for local government bodies on May 14, 2023, the process of electronic voting and counting of voters will be carried out through electronic voting and voter counting devices (PEVN), in the municipalities of Elbasan, Kamëz and Vorë.

Also, the Regulatory Commission approved the procedural rules for the electronic voting and counting process through the electronic voting and counting device (PEVN).

The decision determines the procedure for submitting PEVNs to the respective CVCs, where electronic voting and counting will be piloted by the CEC, together with the accompanying boxes that enable electronic voting, minutes record book, and working documentation. The opening of the voting process through PEVN is carried out by the technical personnel assigned by the CEC.

In cases where the transmission, for technical reasons related to PEVN or the modem, does not occur, the process of extracting the results will be carried out manually.

The preliminary result is extracted and published after it has been sent to the CEC.
