During a public session, the State Election Commissioner approved the content of the ballot for candidates for mayor and the content of the ballot for candidates for municipal council members, in Tirana Municipality for May 14, 2023, local government elections.
Commissioner also approved the content of the ballot for candidates for mayor and candidates for municipal council members for the remainder of 60 municipalities.

The reporters and technical staff of “Report TV” and “News 24” Television were also approved as observers of May 14, 2023 elections.
In this session, the Commissioner evaluated the reports of the public activities of some institutions, for March 31 – April 6, 2023 period.
The State Elections Commissioner concluded the administrative review, finding no administrative violation and dropped the administrative proceedings against the following institutions:
- Ministry of Tourism and Environment;
- Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament;
- Minister of State for Entrepreneurship Protection;
- Bank of Albania;
- National Agency of Civil Protection;
- Prefect of Berat Region;
- Kamez municipality.
The commissioner reviewed the data declared in the self-declaration form of the self-declaring entity Mr. Qerim Ismail Ismailaj, candidate for Mayor proposed by electoral subject “Socialist Party”, for Mallakastër Municipality. Based on evaluation of the content of the statements, the State Election Commissioner decided that Mr. Ismailaj is not in the condition of non-eligibility and decided to send the case to the General Prosecutor’s Office, for an in depth verification.
