The CEC in cooperation with the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) and the Center for the Rule of Law of Finland organized the International Consultation Table “Using the potential of online reporting and declaration systems of political party funding”.

The online financial reporting platform is the best opportunity for the CEC to control the financing of political parties. More in-depth verifications will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Code on the money spent by political parties and electoral subjects.
International IDEA, in cooperation with the Center for the Rule of Law in Finland, is supporting the CEC, political parties and civil society, presenting successful models and providing expertise for digitizing the reporting and declaration of political party funding. The RoL Institute and Center also support the broader efforts of civil society organizations to improve their oversight role and ability to track the movement of funds in politics.
We are only at the beginning of using this system and it remains for users to become fully familiar with this platform, but we have realized our goal and the goal of our European partners to have this project ready for these elections and the reporting on the finances of this campaign to be done through this platform.
