The Complaints and Sanctions Commission reviewed today the request no. 22 of the State Elections Commissioner, for imposing administrative sanctions. At the end of the review, CSC partially accepted the request and imposed the following administrative sanction:
- Fine in the amount of 2,500 ALL, for Ms. Ledina Agalliu, General Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Environment;
- Fine in the amount of 2,500 ALL, for Ms. Zerina Bruci, General Secretary in the Ministry of Culture;
- Fine in the amount of 2,500 ALL, for Mr. Ismail Shehu, Secretary General in the Ministry of Justice;
- Fine in the amount of 2,500 ALL, for Mrs. Joana Duro, Secretary General in the Ministry of Health and Social Protection;
- Fine in the amount of 2,500 ALL, for Ms. Risena Xhaja, Secretary General in the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
CSC also reviewed request no. 23, of the State Election Commissioner for imposing administrative sanctions.
At the end of the review, CSC with a majority of votes, partially accepted the Commissioner’s request and imposed the administrative sanction, a fine of 100,000 ALL for Mr. Rakip Suli, Mayor and candidate of Kamez Municipality.
After Electoral College’s Decision no. 17, dated 09.05.2023, the Commission of Sanctions and Complaints reviewed again the complaint no. 53, filed by “Freedom Party”.
In conclusion, CSC decided by a majority of votes to dismiss the request and leave in force the decision no. 404, dated 24.04.2023, “On appointment of the political parties that will propose the third and fourth member of Ballot Counting Teams, for May 14, 2023 local government elections “, of the State Election Commissioner.
CSC also reviewed the elements of the form and content of complaint no. 54, filed by “Socialist Party” and complaint no. 55, filed by “Together We Win” Coalition.
At the end of the preliminary examination, CSC decided to pass for review the complains in a public session, to be held on 11.05.2023, at 13:30.
