At Central Elections Commission, the State Commissioner of Elections welcomed today the Head of the OSCE Presence in Albania, Ambassador Bruce Berton, with whom had an open conversation about the conclusions of the electoral process of May 14, 2023. Commissioner Celibashi thanked the OSCE Presence in Tirana for their continuous support, as well as for possible activities involving common initiatives for diaspora voting and in-depth analysis of the administration of the Local Elections 2023.

Kindly asked the focus of the OSCE Presence to provide impetus to the parliamentary agenda for improving the Electoral Code, especially the depoliticization of the lower-level electoral administration, as well as the establishment of the Election Training Center as a necessity for enhancing the quality of electoral administration. Ambassador Berton reiterated that the cooperation with the CEC will continue uninterrupted for the further democratization of the country.
