Today, the State Election Commissioner approved the format and specifications of the seal of the Commission for Election Administration Zones (CEAZ), the Commission for Polling Centers (VCC), the seal of the Chairman of the Commission for Polling Centers and the reserve seal of the Commission for Polling Centers, of CEAZ no. 88, for the election of the Mayor of Himarë, Vlorë District, dated 4 August 2024″.

The political parties that nominate the members and the secretary of the Commission of the Electoral Administration Zone no. 88. According to the decision of the Electoral College no. 35, dated 15.9.2023, the political parties that will propose the members of CEAZ no. 88, which will be established and run for the by-election of the Mayor of Himara, are as follows:

1. Three members are proposed by the “Socialist Party of Albania” (PSSH);
2. Two members are proposed by the “Democratic Party” (PDSH);
3. One member proposed by “Partia e Lirise” (PL).

Once the political parties with the right to propose members to the CEAZ had been determined, the lot for the appointment of the seventh member of the CEAZ was drawn between the SP and the PD. The results of the draw determined that the seventh member of the CEAZ no. 88 would be proposed by the “Democratic Party”.

The secretary of the CEAZ will be proposed by the Socialist Party.

The SEC also decided to send the self-declaration of Mr Tonin Zef Marinaj, Mayor of the Municipality of Malësi e Madhe, proposed by the electoral entity “Socialist Party of Albania”, and to send the relevant data to the General Prosecutor’s Office for further evaluation.

During today’s session, the vacant seats in the Municipal Councils were filled:

1. Pogradec Municipality Council, with the candidate from the multi-name list of the Socialist Party of Albania, Mrs. Sara Olldashi;
2. Roskovec Municipality, with the candidate from the multi-name list of the Socialist Party of Albania, Mrs. Aleksandra Lamaj;
3. Devoll Municipality, with the candidate from the multi-name list of the Socialist Party of Albania, Mr. Alfredi Gjata;
4. Lezhë Municipality, with the candidate from the multi-name list of the electoral subject Social Democratic Party, Mr. Ervin Cole.
