The State Election Commissioner decided to allocate today the mandate of Mayor of Kukes Municipality, to Mr. Albert Halilaj, proposed by the electoral subject ” Socialist Party of Albania”, for local by elections of September 24, 2023. 

In addition, the Commissioner reviewed the result of verification by the General Prosecutor for four self declaration of subjects, pursuant to the law no. 138/2015,” On guaranteeing the integrity of the individuals who are elected, appointed or who exercise public functions “. 

The Commissioner also found that Mr. Qerim Ismailaj, Mayor of Mallakaster Municipality, proposed by the electoral subject ” Socialist Party of Albania”  and self declaring subject , Mr. Ronald Zhezha, candidate for member of Fieri Municipal Council, proposed by “Together We Win” Coalition are not in the conditions of non eligibility, stipulated by law.

The Commissioner declared the administrative procedure as closed and with no final decision on the self declaring subject Mr. Fredi Kokoneshi, former Mayor of Divjaka Municipality and self declaring subject, Mr. Pashk Gjetaj, candidate for member of Puka Municipal Council,  proposed by “Legality Movement” electoral subject. 

During today ‘s session, the Commissioner filled the vacancy created in the Municipal Council of Puke, with the candidate from multi-member list of “Together we Win ” Coalition, Mrs. Shpresa Pemaj and in Mirdita Municipal Council, with the candidate from multi-member list of ” Together We Win” Coalition, Mrs. Marina Vorfi.
