The State Election Commissioner allocated the post election financial compensation for the electoral subjects running in May 14,2023 local government elections, that won less than 1 per cent of valid ballots on national scale. 

The political parties for financial compensation are as follows:

1. “Agrarian Environmental Party of Albania” (PAA) 3.544.462 Lek.
2. “Legality Movement Party” (PLL) 1.905.771
3. “Right Liberal Alliance ” (ALD) 1.356.644

During today’s public session, the Commissioner held the administrative review of the complaints filed regarding May 14,2023 local government elections.  At the end of administrative review, the Commissioner decided that no breaches were found and dropped the administrative proceedings for the following:

1. “On administrative review of the complaint with ID no.374 , filed by Mr. Ivi Kaso against the candidate for Mayor of Librazhd Municipality, Local Education Office Librazhd, the Principal of 9 year school  Spathar, Librazhd, for May  14, 2023 ”. 
2. “On administrative review of the complaint with ID no. 390, filed by Edmond Spaho, MP of the Parliament of Albania against the Mayor of Maliq Municipality and some of the administration staff of Maliq Municipality, against May 14,2023 local government elections”. 
3. “On administrative review of the complaint with ID no. 02 ID, filed by Mrs. Albana Vokshi,  MP of the Parliament of Albania, against the Director of Water Supply and Sewerage Kukes, for local by elections for Mayor of Kukes Municipality on September 24,2023”.
4. “On administrative review of the complaint with ID no. 03 ID, filed by  Mrs. Albana Vokshi, MP of the Parliament of Albania, against some public state officials, for local by elections for Mayor of Kukes Municipality, of September 24,2023”. 

  At the end of review of complaint with ID No.417, no.413 and 402, the Commissioner decided on administrative sanctions at the amount of 3000       ( three thousand) lek against the Mayor of Maliq Municipality, a fine of 3000 ( three thousand) lek  against the Mayor of Malesi e Madhe, a fine of 3000 ( three thousand)  against the principal of 9 year school of ” Fran Murrizi” , Malesi e Madhe and a fine at the amount of 3000 ( three thousand) lek against the responsible staff for reporting of public activities in Kamza Municipality. 

The administrative review will continue for the complaint with ID no.409, filed by the Organization “Social Justice”, against the responsible staff for reporting of public activities in the Ministry of Culture, Tirana Municipality, National Theatre and Experimental Theatre, for local government elections of May 14,2023 and complaint with ID no. 01, filed by ” Civic Resistance”  organization, against the candidate for Mayor of Kukes Municipality and electoral subject, “Socialist Party of Albania”, for local by elections of September 24,2023″. 

The decision on complaint with ID no. 412, of the organization ” Civic Resistance”, against the candidate for Mayor of Has Municipality, Has Local Education Office, Principal of 9 year school “Sali Hajdari”, Has, for local government elections of May 14,2023″, will be announced in the next session. 

The review of two draft Decisions ” On approval of the report of findings from the audit of funds benefited and spent by political parties running in local by elections of March 6, 2022″ and “On approval of the report of findings of the audit on the funds benefited and spent by political parties for the calendar year 2021” was also postponed for the next session.
