Starts post-election verification of ballot papers and electoral materials used in the elections of May 14, 2023

Today, the Central Election Commission started the non-election verification for the elections of local government bodies, dated May 14, 2023.

Pursuant to decision no. 800, dated 20.10.2023 of the SEC, 10% of the voting centers will be subject to inspection.

The CEC will examine the ballots and election materials for 526 Voting Centers, of which 40 are VCs in which the Electronic Voting and Counting Equipment (PEVN) was used.
The purpose of this process is to verify the regularity and accuracy of the activity of the electoral administration during the administration of the process and the evaluation of the counting of votes.

The non-election verification process is a public process and can be followed by interested political parties, civil society and the media.

The results of the post-election verification will be published in real time on the “Verifikimi pazgjedhor 2023” interface.
