State Election Commissioner, Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi today meet with the Ambassador of Embassy of Sweden in Tirana, H.E. Niklas Strōm, where was discussed recent developments related to electoral reform and assessed its impact on the upcoming electoral process.

Commissioner Celibashi expressed the readiness of the Central Elections Commission to collaborate and support every step towards improving the electoral process in the country, while Ambassador Strōm conveyed Sweden’s interest in assisting and supporting efforts for the overseas voting of Albanian citizens.

Also, the concrete steps taken by the CEC to address OSCE/ODIHR recommendations and ensure an election process according to international standards were presented at the meeting.
