The Regulatory Commission reviewed and approved the draft decision “On the rules of activity of the State Police in the service of elections”.
By evaluating the importance of the role of State Police in elections, the decision establishes the rules and details the responsibilities of the State Police and election administration during their activity in relation to elections.
In addition, it defines the rules and procedures to be followed in order to comply with the established duties, during the election campaign, on election day, during the ballot counting and the tabulation of results, in coordination with the election administration, pursuant to the Electoral Code provisions.
It also contains provisions on the instruction and training of the State Police officers regarding their roles, introducing them to the election documentation used by election administration in cases when the assistance of State Police is required to restore order in the premises where election administration is taking place.
