The State Election Commissioner Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi received the newly accredited British Ambassador to Tirana, his Excellency Alastair King-Smith. The Commissioner thanked the Ambassador for the strong support provided by UK to the CEC and election processes in Albania.

Celibashi and King-Smith discussed in depth the post election situation in the country and opportunities for further cooperation in the context of democratisation of the Albanian society.

 The British Ambassador  Alastair King-Smith underlined that the democratic reforms and Albanian election issues remain  a priority for the UK government and that it welcomes a closer and professional cooperation with the CEC.
